A huge thank you to our tremendously generous readers who took the time to answer our survey about The Koh Samui Guide. With the help of a few bar graphs – and a dog emoji – here's what you have to say.
(If you'd still like to add your feedback we're always happy to have it – look for the link in your email!). To jump into the good stuff, here's what you've had to say so far...
Average rating: 4.91(It would get 1570 on its SAT!)
“Could not have enjoyed trip without it.” – Donna“We were able to plan ahead to make sure we made the most of our time on the island.” – Damian
100% of our readers said YES!(That’s amazing). One person even said she'd made her sister buy it.For total transparency, here’s exactly what they said:
“It was brilliant! I read every bit of it and I’ve used the taxi app, I’ve been to a couple of restaurants. I hired a bicycle (and it’s been good) I refer to it a lot now I’m here too.” – Sallyanne
The top five didn’t completely surprise me:
What does surprise me is that bird-watching has the same size audience as caring for your children. (I mean, fair enough, you're on vacation).
As for your favourites – noted! We'll keep the activity and hotel recommendations coming through in your monthly updates emails.
“That I would have found it 7 years ago!” – Melissa
Noted! More hotels. Spas. Birds.
“It was a great help. I had been once before briefly with a friend to party about 8 years ago. This time with my girlfriend, the guide was a great help to help us decide what to do , where to eat! Etc etc” – Craig“I would like to thank you for contributing to a lovely holiday we enjoyed so much, that we are planning to come back” – Giorgia
27% cat person40% dog person33% neither – humans only please (WHAT! Guys. We need to talk.)
On that note (a triumphant day for dogs), many thanks! (Many many many).

Alex Hammond | In 2012, Alex and her brother wrote The Koh Samui Guide they wished they’d had on their first few visits to Thailand. To their (tremendous) surprise, the guide became “a thing” … and it’s been an ongoing labour of love ever since.
