So as it turns out … travel guidebooks? Not so hot in pandemics. At long last, I realised that there’s a way to use all this knowledge in COVID-proof way: through sheer competition and ruthless academic/pop culture savagery against our own friends and family.

Who will it suit?
I never enjoy those trivia nights where if you don’t know the answers, that’s it, you’re useless … so I’ve tried my best to offer a range of questions including multiple choice and questions where you could reason or discuss your way to the right answer. (And there’s some 6th-grade math … give me a calculator and I feel so powerful).
- If you’re Thai … it’s probably pretty easy (but I doubt you’ll get 100%)
- If you’re a long-term Thailand expat … see above, but you need to know your history
- If you’ve visited Thailand a lot (or read every page of my blog) … I think you’ll do well, but will find some decent challenges
- If you know absolutely zero about Thailand (but love trivia) … give it a go. Many rounds include optional Helpful Hints which the quiz-master might choose to share.
